Health and Safety Training

General health and safety training includes:

  • COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)

  • Fire regulations

  • First aid

  • Lone working

  • Management regulations, what you need to risk assess

  • Safety of outdoor spaces

  • Site safety and security

  • Slips, trips and falls

  • Vehicle / pedestrian segregation

  • Working at height

  • Your rights and responsibilities under health and safety legislation

Typical session is 1½ hours and can be for groups of up to 30 participants; it can be delivered during twilight sessions, school inset days or online.

Risk Assessment training includes:

  • An introduction to health and safety management regulations 1999

  • Five steps to risk assessment

  • Hierarchy of controls.

  • A look at examples of good and bad risk assessments

  • Participants will be asked to bring examples of thier assessments for the group to discuss.

Typical session is 1½ hours and can be delivered to groups of up to 12 participants; it can be delivered during twilight sessions, school inset days or online.
